March 9, 2015 (MEDIA, PA) – The Media Film Festival has announced its official program selections for the 9th edition of the popular community event set for April 1st and 2nd at the historic Media Theatre.
The Media Film Festival is an annual celebration of artistic excellence bringing together cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers and artists to discover the best in independent short film. The festival will screen 42 films representing 12 countries in categories including drama, documentary, comedy, animation, horror and experimental.
“There are some extraordinary entries and performances from local filmmakers and actors along with intriguing submissions from around the world that have come together for what might be our finest festival yet” says Dave Scheivert, Chair of the team of Media Film Festival volunteers which juries the films and organizes the two days of activities.
The next generation of storytellers will be among the filmmakers having their photos taken on the red carpet in 2016 as several Delaware County teens, part of the Media Youth Film Initiative (MyFi), have four selections in the lineup.
