The 2016 Media Film Festival Celebrates Success

Our largest, most enthusiastic audiences ever, a superb lineup of films and a glittering after-party made the 9th Annual Media Film Festival a big hit. Held at the Media Theatre, April 1st and 2nd, the event lived up to its promise of “bringing a world of film to Everybody’s Hometown” by showcasing a program of 42 outstanding short films from around the world, including a significant number of excellent selections produced right here in our area.

We’d like to thank our sponsors, especially our presenting sponsor, the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, our event volunteers, staff and the filmmakers and actors whose great art made this year’s Fest possible. Many of the artists were in attendance, having traveled from as far away as Paris and Hollywood to be part of the fun. There were photos on the red carpet, the opportunity to network with each other and chat with film goers not to mention cocktails at the big Saturday night Festival party in the Theatre’s Crystal Room.

Preparations are already underway for the 10th Annual Media Film Festival which will include a series of special events and some exciting surprises – so stay tuned. And we hope you will consider getting involved. A big arts event doesn’t happen without broad community support. Become a volunteer, a juror or a donor.
